Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010 was a successful one.  Is it bad to admit I still have a few winter decorations outside?!?!  Need. To. Take. Those. Down. Pronto.  I always love this time of year.  Always overbuy for the kids (maybe that's because I start in January?!?!) and I loved that we decided to stay in our Christmas Jammies all day.  It was a wonderful day.  Everyone liked what they received and Santa magically came and went again.

Turkey Trot! Turkey Trot!

K and her friend pre race......
Ready to start the race!  On your mark, get set... GO!
Ok, seriously.  Where did she get her running skills?!
Look, she regained and is still beating a bunch of those kiddos!  (not that it's about winning!)
After the Trot.... she fell down.  But I really think it could have been because she didn't come in 1st.

The annual McDonald Elementary Turkey Trot came and went.  Although, not without some surprises... Kennedy was seriously leading the pack most of the race.... and if you look at the pictures, by more than just a couple of steps.  What happened, you may ask?  She hit a patch of ice and had to do some stutter steps.... regained herself and came in fifth!  I couldn't believe it!  She did a fantastic job and I am sure if she didn't go off the track and hit that ice she would have led those little kindergarteners all the way.  She's such a good little runner!  The running conditions were so bad out there, I made her wear her softball/soccer cleats!  :-)  I was so proud of her.  She's really turning out to be quite a little athlete!

Father Daughter Princess Ball 2011

 Her Silly Pose....
 Dad got her a corsage!
And They're Off!!!!

I can't wait to hear all about it and hopefully see pics that Bry took.  (If you know Bryan, you'll know he hates to take  his picture taken, or take pictures unless it's with a fish or with something he's hunted).  So, fingers crossed, I'll get to see a few snapshots of the evening.  Bryan asked Kennedy to go tothe First annual Father Daughter Princess Ball.  Little Missy was so so so excited, she could hardly stand it.  She kept asking Bryan how many days left til the ball.  It was precious.  We dolled her hair up, even put some glitter spray in there for a little extra jazz.  What a wonderful moment for just daddy and daughter!

Valentine's Day Photo Shoot

Weird, I know.  But I found someone on Etsy.com (love that site) to do our Valentine's cards.  Well, I got the big idea to put in the quote:  "May your Valentine's Day be sprinkled with sweetness" as my kids were gobbling down some ice cream cones.... hence, the somewhat crazy snapshots.  (The original pic I took for the card was at B and R with my phone, so it was a low resolution and the ice cream really did have sprinkles.... but these will have to do.  Seriously, why does time go by so quickly?  Weren't these two just born?  H will be 9 next month and K will be 6.  Sigh.
